About Ellison Painting
Brad grew up in Royal Oak, Michigan and graduated from Oakland University. During school his goal was always to run his own small business and he got his start at age 19 when he started a local window washing company to pay for tuition.
Brad and Rachel operate Ellison Painting together and now live in Oakland Twp with their 5 year old daughter and 2 year old son. They enjoy exercising, time outdoors, and being involved in the local community and church.

Owner
Brad grew up in Royal Oak and graduated from Oakland University. As a young man, his goal was always to run his own small business and he got his start at age 19 when he started a local window washing company to help pay for tuition.
Brad and his wife, Rachel, operate Ellison Painting together and now live in Oakland Twp. with their 6 year old daughter and 3 year old son. They enjoy exercising, time outdoors, and being involved in the local community and church.
Marc Kanitz
Project Consultant
Marc was raised in Traverse City and graduated from Michigan State University with a degree from the College of Agriculture, focusing on the logistics of food. With over a decade of sales experience in freight/construction, he has grown a deep respect for the trades and the individuals dedicated to the craft. He has his builder’s license and ran his own residential/commercial construction company in the Grand Rapids area prior to locking arms with Ellison Painting.
Marc has laid roots in Rochester Hills with his wife Amanda and their 2 sons.
Amanda grew up here, so they have a village of family and community in the area with whom to grow. Outside of his professional endeavors, you can find Marc writing songs, playing in the worship band, or wrestling his toddlers.
Ron Opdyke
Project Manager
Ron grew up in Canton. After high school, he joined the Marine Corps and spent 9 years on active duty, deploying 4 times overseas. Post-Marine Corps, he has owned a small motorcycle repair business, become a certified firefighter, and certified aircraft technician.
Ron now lives in Rochester with his wife, baby girl, and two dogs. As a family, they enjoy fitness, outdoor activities, traveling, and spending time with their close friends in the community.
Veronica Simon
Project Coordinator
Veronica grew up in Rochester Hills and graduated from Pensacola Christian College. Both during and after college, she worked as an administrative assistant, helping small businesses fine-tune their brand through backend organization, customer service, and graphic design. Veronica now partners with Ellison Painting as Project Coordinator.
Veronica lives in Rochester Hills with her husband Tim, their four-year-old son, and twin 2-year olds. When she’s not chasing toddlers, Veronica enjoys playing piano, being involved in her local church and youth group, and spending quality time with family and friends.
